Woken up early by Big Nev packing up to leave so we also got away pretty early, it was still bloody hot. Crossed the border into Northern Territory. Rode to Timber Creek pretty hard, leaving the Chainsaw Twins behind.
Arrived at Katherine where, surprisingly, it was hot.
Set up camp and went for a swim in an amazing spring.
Boof damaged his poor wittle fumb putting up the tent.
Went for a ride to Wyndham, the knowledgeable one tells me it is the most northern town in WA. All I know is it was an interesting place.
Stopped in at ‘The Grotto’, another great little natural phenomenom that required a fair effort to climb down to and up from.
Arrived back at Kurunurra and went down to the beach area to take a few photos. When I walked back to the ‘Bird, the local Mr Plod was waiting for me, apparently a concerned citizen had phoned ahead of my arrival and the police had an alert to look out for me and the ‘Bird. Upshot of it all was that I had been riding too fast and irresponsibly by removing my feet from the footpegs, lucky they didn’t see me on a good day 🙂
Left Spring Creek and rode to Kunanurra.
Chainsaw Twins saves a flying fox certainly from death after it was caught on barbed wire and then I rode to Kunanurra, Briz had a blowout before Turkey Creek Roadhouse. Shit ‘appens.

Bit over Broome, feel like we have been here forever.
Got pulled over by the Police today for no real reason and they went over the ‘Bird very closely, even put a noiseometer 🙂 on the pipes and threatened with putting me off the road. Let me off with a warning luckily as long as I leave WA soon.
Did a few touristy things this afternoon, went and saw the Crystal Buddha at Cable Beach Resort and watched Helen and Ivan riding camels.
The plan to go to Derby and do the Horizontal Falls has fallen through because the tides are too insignificant, off to Fitzroy Crossing instead.
Got the bike serviced but the bastards washed it on me and destroyed the street cred it had taken ages to accumulate………damn!! They have discovered a few issues with the ‘Bird.
Did a bit of shopping today for things needed.
Mr and Mrs Briz organised to have dinner on Cable Beach and we enjoyed a lovely chicken salad whilst watching the sun set.
